According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Suk Hee Shim is favored to win, as she has 1/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Seung-Hi Park (4/1) and Kim A-Lang (9/2).
Shim competes for South Korea. She was the 2012 overall world junior champion before moving on to the next level. She finished second in the 2013 world championship in this distance.
Park also competes for South Korea. She took the bronze in this distance at the 2010 Olympics and has since won the 2010 and 2013 world championship in this distance.
Lang also competes for South Korea. She is coming off a second-place finish in the overall world juniors in 2013. She is competing in her first Olympics.
