SOCHI, Russia (The Spread) – The Men’s Doubles luge event at the 2014 Olympics features some talented pairings. Here is a look at the odds to claim the gold in this event.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the team of Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt are favored to win, as they have 2/9 odds. Other short odds to win are Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken (4/1) and Andreas & Wolfgang Linger (12/1).
Wendl & Arlt compete for Germany and they are the 2013 world champions in men’s doubles for the luge. They have also won a pair of World Cup titles together.
Eggert & Benecken compete for Germany as well. The duo is seeking their first Olympic medal and they have finished second in the last two world championships.
The Linger brothers compete for Austria and they have won the last two Olympic gold medals in this event. They were also the 2012 and 2011 world champions, but finished third in 2013.
