Top 10 SB Prop Bets
Super Bowl XLIII between the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers is just days away now and to get you ready for the big game, we’ve got a breakdown of some of the prop bets you can make on the big game.
Online sports books like Sportsbook.com have over 1000 Super Bowl 43 prop wagers that you can bet this Sunday. Everything from the opening coin toss to the Super Bowl MVP, to the color of Gatorade can be wagered on this weekend.
We’ve highlighted 10 of the top Super Bowl 43 prop bets according to oddsmakers from Sportsbook.com and preview each prop bet below.
How hard is this bet right? It might be blind luck, but at places like Sportsbook.com, the juice is set so low (-101) that the coin toss is hard to pass up.
This Larry Fitzgerald will score first? There’s a great chance and at +600, Fitz makes an attractive prop bet on the first player to score.
Here’s a tip if you’re thinking about making a wager on this prop: A touchdown has been scored first in four of the five playoff games involving the Cardinals and Steelers, but at –160, a TD might not be the best bet. All other scores are listed at +130, so if you think a field goal will result in the first score, make sure you take advantage of this prop.
Will Either Team Score 3 Straight Times w/o Other Team Scoring
If your answer is “No” to the above question, than this is the prop for you because “No” is giving off +140 odds, while “Yes” for this prop is –170.
At +800, the total of 27 points is the most likely scenario according to Sportsbook.com, but you’ll could be in store for a decent payout if you think that total will fall short or go higher than that total.
The Cardinals have only scored less than 20 points three times all season, but the most likely score for Arizona in Super Bowl XLIII has been set at 20 or 21 points at +800. If you think ‘Zona will score more than 20 or 21 points (or that the Steelers’ defense will shut the Cards down), jump on this prop.
Ben Roethlisberger – Total Passing Yards, O/U 237.5
The under is currently sitting at Even for this prop, while the over sits at –120. If you think the Steelers will get their running game going early and rely on their defense to win this game, the under is an attractive bet.
Willie Parker – Total Rushing Yards, O/U 83.5 (-115)
Remember in 2005 when Parker broke off that big touchdown run late in the game? The Cards have played well against the run in the postseason, but don’t forget that there’s a good chance they’ll falter again and Parker could be in store for a big night on the ground.
Kurt Warner – Total Passing Yards, O/U 259.5 (-115)
Warner could be the key to Arizona’s success. If you think Pittsburgh’s vaunted defense will shut down the veteran, than he probably won’t rack up more than 200 yards. But, if his offensive line comes to play, he could easily top the 259.5 mark and be a nice payout for you. (Don’t forget to factor in the fact that the Cards could be down and Warner racks up some yardage in the fourth quarter with the Steelers’ defense playing back.)
Larry Fitzgerald – Total Receptions, O/U 6.5
Fitz has totaled 17 catches the last two weeks against solid defenses in Philadelphia and Carolina, but he faces an even bigger test this Sunday against a Steelers team that is limiting teams to under 175 yards passing this year. Still, you know the Cards are going to get Fitz involved early and often.
