Best Supporting Actress Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - Lupita Nyong'o is favored to win Best Supporting Actress at this year's Oscars. Check out the rest of the field.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Nyong'o of "12 Years a Slave" is a 10/11 favorite to win Best Supporting Actress while Jennifer Lawrence of "American Hustle" has the next-best odds at 1/1. June Squibb is also 18/1 to win for her role in "Nebraska" while Julia Roberts is 20/1 for "August: Osage County" and Sally Hawkins is 33/1 to win for "Blue Jasmine."
This is the third time that Lawrence has been nominated for an Academy Award. She also won an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for "Silver Linings Playbook" and was nominated for her role in "Winter's Bone" in 2011.
This is Roberts' fourth Academy Awards nomination, but her first since 2001. She won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for "Erin Brockovich" and was also nominated for 1991's Pretty Woman for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Her first nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role came in 1990 for her role in "Steel Magnolias."
The 2014 Academy Awards will take place on March 2 and will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Ellen DeGeneres will host the even and both "American Hustle" and "Gravity" have received the most nominations.
