Best Actor-Comedy or Musical Odds
BEVERLY HILLS, CA (TheSpread) – The Best Actor-Comedy or Musical category at the 2013 Golden Globes is a two-horse race. Here is a look at the odds to win this award.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the slight favorite to win this category is Hugh Jackman, who has odds of -500 for his role in Les Miserables. The other nominee with short odds is Bradley Cooper, who has odds of +225 to win for his role in Silver Linings Playbook.
Jackman played the historic role of Jean Valjen in Les Miserables, which is the film adaptation of the musical. Jackman has not won a Golden Globe, but was nominated in this same category back in 2001 for Kate & Leopold.
Cooper plays Pat Solitano in Silver Linings Playbook. His character is a man with bipolar disorder that is trying to put his life back together and develops a relationship with a woman with similar issues. This is Cooper’s first Golden Globes nomination.
The 2013 Golden Globes will be held Sunday, January 13 from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, and air live on NBC at 8PM ET.
