View 2015 NCAA Championship Odds

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Tigers remain 50/1 to win the 2015 NCAA college football championship game. That’s a little surprising considering that they were 50/1 before dismissing junior receiver Dorial Green-Beckham following an incident involving his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s friend.

"Dorial's priority going forward needs to be focusing on getting the help he needs," Tigers' coach Gary Pinkel said in a statement. "We care deeply about Dorial and his well-being, but hopefully he can benefit from a fresh start."

According to reports, Green-Beckham forced his way into an apartment while searching for his girlfriend. After causing damage to the wall while forcing his way through the door, he then pushed a different woman down “at least four stairs,” causing a minor hand injury. The victim declined to press charges, reportedly over fear of backlash, which caused the case to be dropped.

This was the third reported incident involving Green-Beckham since he came to Missouri from Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri. He was also arrested on drug charges back in October after he and teammates Torey Boozer and Levi Copelin were found in possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.

Before being kicked off the team, Green-Beckham was projected to become one of the top

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney announced on Tuesday that returning starters Corey Crawford and David Beasley, along with teammates Garry Peters and Shaq Anthony are all suspended for the season opener with Georgia for a violation of team rules

"A huge part of our program is teaching accountability, responsibility and that there are consequences for your actions," Swinney said in a press release. I am hopeful that they will learn and grow from this and have a great 2014 season on and off the field."

Crawford is a starting defensive lineman while Beasley starts on the offensive line. They will be big losses against an SEC foe like Georgia. This suspension greatly impacts the outlook for both the Tigers and the Bulldogs entering the season opener.

Golson took part in Notre Dame’s first spring practice Monday morning and is likely to be the starting quarterback heading into the 2014 season for the Fighting Irish.

"I want to say surreal in a sense," Golson told ESPN.com following the practice "I felt accomplished for a split moment, that I went through what I went through and now I'm back and I'm moving forward now and still continuing that process of trying to grind and be better."

Golson missed last season following an academic suspension, which forced Notre Dame to go with Tommy Rees as the starting quarterback last season. The Irish, who reached the BCS Championship Game two years ago, went just 9-4 last season.

EAST LANSING, MI (TheSpread) – After its first Rose Bowl win since 1988, Michigan State is making sure Mark Dantonio is a happy man.

On Tuesday, it was announced through ESPN.com that Dantonio has been given a pay raise to $3.64 million annually along with an additional year on his contract, making it a current six-year deal.

Dantonio and Narduzzi have turned Michigan State around. The Spartans have had one of the top defenses in the country under Narduzzi and Dantonio has led MSU to a 42-12 record since 2010, including a win in this year’s Rose Bowl over Stanford to go along with a Big Ten Championship.

Will Jadeveon Clowney run under a 4.50 Forty at NFL Scouting Combine? http://www.thespread.com/ncaaf-articles/022214-will-jadeveon-clowney-run-under-a-450-forty-at-nfl-scouting-combine What will Clowney run in the 40?

Jadeveon Clowney NFL scouting combine odds draft

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has officially checked in at this year's NFL scouting combine.

View 2015 Super Bowl Odds

Clowney measured in at 6-foot-5 and 1/4 inches and 266 pounds at the NFL scouting combine on Saturday morning. For comparison, Mario Williams was 6'7" and 295 pounds, while Julius Peppers was 6'6" and 283 pounds.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Clowney has an over/under of 4.50 seconds for fastest 40-yard dash time. Williams ran the forty in 4.70 seconds while Peppers ran in 4.68 seconds. That's probably why the over 4.50 for Clowney is -185, while the under is +140.

SI.com's Don Banks had Clowney going No. 3 overall to the Jaguars in his most recent mock drafts, but he's slotted to go anywhere from the first overall pick to No. 6 (the Falcons).

For what it's worth, NFL draft analyst Mike Mayock stated that if he had a choice between Buffalo edge rusher Khalil Mack and Clowney, he'd take Mack.

"You talk about a kid like (Jadeveon) Clowney, who's just got superhuman abilities, versus this kid, and if I had a choice between the two, I think I'm taking Mack," Mayock said.
