ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) Charles Woodson pushed back a visit to Oakland to pursue a reunion with the Raiders because extending his career in the NFL isn't his only mission.

The 2009 NFL Defensive Player of the Year would've traveled to the Bay Area from Denver after meeting with the Broncos on Wednesday, but he had charity obligations this weekend to support Mott Children's Hospital.

``It's important for me to be here even though I'm looking for a job,'' Woodson said in an interview with The Associated Press on Friday.

The eight-time Pro Bowl player said he's scheduled to meet with Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie and members of the coaching staff on Tuesday.

``We'll see if things fit,'' he said at The M-Den before being the part of a WTKA radiothon that raised more than $90,000 for The Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund.

Woodson's agent, Carl Poston, told The AP earlier in the day that the 36-year-old defensive back had also drawn interest from the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers and other teams he declined to identify.

The Green Bay Packers cut Woodson in a salary-cap move three months ago. He went on to visit with the San Francisco 49ers and Broncos and left both times without agreeing to a deal.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) New York Jets running back Mike Goodson is facing drug and weapons charges after a New Jersey traffic stop.

State police say Goodson was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Garant Evans of Roselle. Police found them stopped in the left lane of Interstate 80 in Denville at about 3:15 a.m. Friday.

Sgt. Adam Grossman says both men were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and three weapons charges stemming from a handgun found in the vehicle.

Evans also is charged with DWI, multiple traffic violations and weapons possession with a prior felony.

Both men are held pending transfer to the Morris County jail.

Goodson played three seasons for Carolina and one for Oakland before the Jets signed him to a three-year deal in the offseason.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) A woman is suing Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, claiming he or a body guard hit her, threw a drink at her and tossed her off a party bus last December.

The woman, identified by the fictitious name Mary Roe, filed the suit in Philadelphia on May 10.

She says she was one of about 15 women who joined McCoy and five other men on a bus for a night out in New York on Dec. 18.

She says she objected on the way home when men began spraying women with water.

After that, she says, she was roughed up and tossed out along the New Jersey Turnpike. She says she was allowed back on the bus, but was left again when she called police from a rest stop.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Cowboys running back Felix Jones to a one-year contract.

A former first-round selection by Dallas in 2008, Jones has rushed for 2,728 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. He has 127 receptions for 1,062 yards and three TDs. Jones had 402 yards rushing and three TDs last year, along with 25 receptions for 262 yards and two scores.

The move was announced Tuesday. Wide receiver Marvin McNutt was released to make room for Jones.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) The Green Bay Packers' decision to shuffle their offensive line was based on the need to protect the team's most important asset in quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

After doing postseason evaluations of schemes and players and ranking each player on the roster, coach Mike McCarthy and his staff determined that Bryan Bulaga and Josh Sitton were the team's best offensive linemen.

McCarthy said their ranking led the coaches to having the best blockers protecting the blind side of Rodgers. Rodgers signed a five-year, $110 million extension last month that made him the NFL's highest-paid player.

McCarthy said Sunday after the conclusion of the rookie camp that he and his staff put a lot of thought into the move, but that the idea behind it isn't very complex.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) Pete Carroll spent the first day of Seattle's rookie minicamp with a watchful eye on some of the offensive prospects the Seahawks selected in last month's draft.

That was after Carroll and his coaches watched film Friday morning of quarterback Russell Wilson's first practice at the same camp a year ago. The message from watching Wilson's tape: It might not look good at first, but some of these rookies could end up really contributing.

That could be harder for this season's batch of Seattle rookies than any of the previous three under Carroll. An already young and loaded roster has made the Seahawks a popular Super Bowl pick months before the season begins.

One rookie that stood out to Carroll was running back Christine Michael, Seattle's second-round pick. Carroll was impressed by Michael's quickness.

Manning's latest victim was right tackle Orlando Franklin, who got the old shaving cream pie-in-the-face while being interviewed on camera at the Yankees-Rockies game Tuesday night.

Manning had gathered more than two dozen of his teammates for a trip to the ballpark and engineered the gag in which receiver Eric Decker sneaked up on Franklin and smashed the 330-pound offensive lineman in the face while he was doing a live TV interview.

The Washington Redskins quarterback appeared Wednesday at a luncheon honoring Tanya Snyder, wife of Redskins owner Dan Snyder. Tanya Snyder is a breast cancer survivor, and she received the society's Mother of the Year award.

When RG3 stepped forward with a pair of pink cleats he wore in a game last season, the bidding went wild. They sold for $15,000. And then 18 people paid $1,000 each to pose with Griffin for a photo that the quarterback will sign.

Griffin also gave an update on his injured knee, saying ``each day is a better day because (it) feels better and you do more things.''

The former Jets quarterback, cut by New York last week after one disappointing season and now a free agent, was selected as

America's most influential athlete, according to a survey released Monday by Forbes.com.

Tebow had the most influence on fans, according to 29 percent of respondents, finishing ahead of Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps (25 percent), Jamaican track star Usain Bolt (23 percent) and Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter (22 percent).

Forbes.com used surveys from Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research to determine the winner, and took into account Nielsen's measurement for a player's endorsement potential.

The next-closest NFL player was Denver's Peyton Manning, who replaced Tebow with the Broncos last offseason and finished fifth in the survey.
