-Antero Niittymaki, Flyers, stopped 38 shots for his third career shutout, backstopping Philadelphia's 1-0 win over Florida.

Derian Hatcher scored midway through the third period to lift Philadelphia over Florida 1-0 on Sunday for its third straight victory. The Flyers' defenseman notched his second of the season and just his 80th goal in 1,022 career games.

Scott Gomez registered two assists in the New York Rangers' 4-3 overtime win over Montreal on Sunday and now has at least one point in 12 straight games. Jaromir Jagr scored a first period goal to extend his point-scoring streak to seven games for the Rangers, who have won three straight. ... Los Angeles won its second straight game, 3-2 over Chicago in overtime, following an eight-game losing streak.

Andrei Kastsitsyn scored two power play goals for Montreal in a 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Rangers on Sunday. ... Jonathan Toews scored for the third time in four games in Chicago's 3-2 overtime loss to Los Angeles. Toews leads all NHL rookies with 15 goals.
