ST. LOUIS (AP) -St. Louis Blues goaltender Manny Legace is placed on injured reserve with what the team describes as a mild concussion.
Legace took a knee to the head in the first period of Wednesday’s 4-2 loss at Anaheim. The team initially said on Thursday that he was day-to-day with the injury. But late Thursday, the Blues announced that Legace had a concussion.
It is the second injury of the season for Legace. In October, he strained his left hip flexor and missed several games when he slipped on carpet placed on the ice for then-vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who was dropping the ceremonial first puck.
