COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -The Columbus Blue Jackets activated center Jiri Novotny off injured reserve on Wednesday after he missed eight games with a concussion.
Novotny suffered a concussion in the 4-0 win at Minnesota on Nov. 23. Novotny collided with the Wild’s Aaron Voros as Voros left the penalty box.
The 24-year-old Novotny has four goals and six assists in 22 games this season.
The native of Czech Republic has 12 goals and 20 assists in 104 career NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals and Blue Jackets. He signed as free agent with Columbus last summer.
