ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -Minnesota Wild right wing Owen Nolan left Friday’s game with another lower-body injury.
Nolan was hurt in the first period against the Vancouver Canucks. The team said he would not return. In his first season with the Wild, the 36-year-old Nolan has missed eight of the first 24 games.
Nolan played 2 minutes, 29 seconds in the first period before departing. He was signed to help upgrade the team’s offense, but in part because of his health he has only five goals so far. Minnesota is also still missing right wing Marian Gaborik, on injured reserve with a similarly unspecified lower-body injury.
Gaborik has been absent for all but two games.
