DENVER (AP) -The Colorado Avalanche recalled forward Brad Richardson from AHL Lake Erie on Sunday and placed defenseman Kurt Sauer on injured reserve because of a neck injury.
Richardson was first recalled by the Avalanche on Nov. 15 and had one goal in five games before being reassigned to Lake Erie on Thursday.
Richardson missed the first month of the season with a wrist injury. He was cleared to play Nov. 7 and was assigned to Lake Erie.
Sauer injured himself Friday at San Jose. He had a goal and five assists in 24 games.
