SHARK BIT
Phoenix lost its third in a row, all against San Jose, and has been outscored 15-1 over that span after a 6-0 defeat Thursday. The Coyotes also fell to a Western Conference-worst 2-7-0 at home.

PENALIZED
Los Angeles was assessed a rare bench-minor penalty for a ``second faceoff violation'' at 4:17 of the second period in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Anaheim. First, Derek Armstrong was kicked out of the circle by linesman Brad Lazarowich after jumping the gun against Samuel Pahlsson, and the same thing happened to his replacement Ladislav Nagy.
