PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Flyers center Danny Briere was back in the lineup against Tampa Bay on Saturday night, only two weeks after abdominal surgery.
Briere had surgery on Oct. 25 to fix a torn abdominal muscle and doctors expected him to miss three to four weeks. Briere centered the first line with Mike Knuble and Simon Gagne against the Lightning.
Briere has three goals and four assists this season. The 31-year-old forward had 31 goals and 41 assists last season during his first year with the Flyers.
