ATLANTA (AP) -Atlanta center Rich Peverley, who has seven points in the Thrashers’ first five games, has signed a multiyear contract extension.
Thrashers general manager Don Waddell did not disclose terms of the deal on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Peverley has four goals and three assists in the Thrashers’ 4-1 start. He leads the team with three power-play goals and two game-winning goals.
Peverley was claimed off waivers from Nashville in January. The native of Guelph, Ontario, has 42 points in 44 games with Atlanta.
