WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) -Daymond Langkow scored early in the third period to help the Calgary Flames beat the Phoenix Coyotes 3-2 in exhibition play Wednesday night.
Defensemen Dion Phaneuf and Matt Pelech also scored for Calgary (1-1) in front of a mostly pro-Flames crowd of 12,621 at MTS Centre.
Enver Lisen scored two first-period goals to give Phoenix (0-2) a 2-0 lead.
The Coyotes franchise left Winnipeg for Phoenix after the 1995-96 season. Phoenix captain Shane Doan, the last remaining Coyote to have played for the Jets, assisted on both goals.
The teams will play again Thursday night in Calgary.
