SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) -Florida Panthers defenseman Keith Ballard agreed to a six-year contract extension on Tuesday.
Ballard was acquired by the Panthers in June from Phoenix in exchange for former captain Olli Jokinen. The 25-year-old has appeared in 233 NHL games, all with the Coyotes.
The extension starts with the 2009-10 season. Terms were not disclosed.
