DETROIT (AP) -The Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings added Brad McCrimmon to their coaching staff Monday and re-signed assistant Paul MacLean.
McCrimmon spent four seasons as an assistant in Atlanta after previous stints with Calgary and the New York Islanders. The former defenseman played 18 seasons in the NHL, including three with Detroit in the early 1990s.
McCrimmon and MacLean signed three-year contracts. MacLean is entering his fourth season with Detroit.
