PHOENIX (AP) -The Phoenix Coyotes have re-signed left wing Scottie Upshall and goalie Josh Tordjman to one-year contracts.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Upshall set career highs in goals (15), assists (19), points (34) and games played (74) last season with Philadelphia and Phoenix. The Coyotes acquired him from Philadelphia on March 4 in a deal that sent Daniel Carcillo to the Flyers.
“We are excited to have signed Scottie Upshall to a new contract,” Phoenix general manager Don Maloney said in a statement. “He performed exceptionally well for us last season after we acquired him from Philadelphia and we expect him to be an important player for us next season.”
The 24-year-old Tordjman allowed eight goals in two games for the Coyotes, making his NHL debut on March 8 against the New York Islanders.
