ARLINGTON Va. (AP) -The Washington Capitals signed defenseman Shaone Morrisonn to a one-year contract on Saturday.
The 25-year-old played his third full season with the team in 2007-08, totaling 10 points and 63 penalty minutes in 76 games. He also played in the Capitals' playoff series against the Flyers.
The Vancouver native was acquired from Boston in 2004.
