CHICAGO (AP) -The Chicago Blackhawks ousted general manager Dale Tallon on Tuesday, less than two months after the team reached the Western Conference finals.
Tallon, the architect of a rebuilding effort that led to the franchise’s first playoff appearance in seven years, was named general manager in June 2005. He was reassigned Tuesday to a role as a senior advisory of hockey operations.
He will be replaced by assistant GM Stan Bowman.
