OTTAWA (AP) -The Ottawa Senators signed free agent Niko Dimitrakos to a one-year contract on Friday.
Dimitrakos, a 28-year-old right winger, has 24 goals and 62 points in 158 regular-season games over parts of four seasons with San Jose and Philadelphia.
He had no points and six penalty minutes in five games with the Flyers last season, which he spent mostly in the AHL with the Philadelphia Phantoms and Chicago.
Ottawa also re-signed defenseman Lawrence Nycholat to a multiyear deal. Nycholat, 28, didn't play in the postseason for the Senators. He appeared in only one regular-season game with the Senators after he was acquired in a Feb. 27 trade with Washington.
Nycholat, who debuted with the New York Rangers in 2003-04, has two goals and six assists in 28 career regular-season games.
