RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -The Carolina Hurricanes agreed to terms for one-year contracts Tuesday with forward Ryan Bayda and defensemen Tim Conboy and J.D. Forrest.
Bayda will earn $475,000 at the NHL level or $100,000 at the American Hockey League level. Conboy will receive $495,000 in the NHL or $95,000 in the AHL, while Forrest will receive $475,000 in the NHL or $50,000 in the AHL.
Bayda split last season between Albany of the AHL and with the Hurricanes, tallying a goal and an assist in nine games with Carolina. He led Albany skaters with 29 goals in 55 games last season.
Conboy will enter his fourth full professional season in the fall. He played last year with Albany, totaling three goals and seven assists in 75 games.
Forrest missed last season with a knee injury. Before signing a contract with the Hurricanes last July, he played for a team in Finland's top professional league and tallied six goals and five assists in 43 regular-season games. He also had four assists in 14 playoff games.
