ST. LOUIS (AP) -The St. Louis Blues have re-signed veteran forward Keith Tkachuk to a one-year contract.
Terms of the deal announced Friday were not disclosed.
The 37-year-old Tkachuk has spent eight of his 17 NHL seasons with the Blues and helped St. Louis earn a playoff spot this past season for the first time in five years.
Tkachuk had 25 goals and 24 assists last season. He has 525 goals and 508 assists for his career, along with 2,163 penalty minutes.
Last season, he became just the seventh U.S.-born player to reach 1,000 career points. He is a native of Melrose, Mass., originally selected by Winnipeg in the first round (19th overall) in the 1990 NHL draft.
