MOVING ON
Pittsburgh is advancing to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in seven years after defeating the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime on Sunday. The Penguins, who rallied after giving up a two-goal lead, won the second-round series 4-1. ... After winning the first three games in the series, Dallas finally knocked out San Jose on the third try with a 2-1 win in four overtimes. The Stars move on to the conference finals for the first time since 2000.

Philadelphia will meet cross-state rival Pittsburgh in the first all-Pennsylvania conference final. The teams haven't met in the postseason since Philadelphia won a second-round series in 2000 in six games. That series was best remembered for a five-overtime Flyers' win in Game 4.
