DETROIT (AP) -San Jose Sharks forward Bill Guerin will not play against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday in Game 5 of their second-round series because of a cut on his face.
Guerin was injured after a teammate's deflected shot hit him in Game 4 on Wednesday night, when the Red Wings won in overtime and tied the series.
Sharks coach Ron Wilson said he has ``no idea'' if Guerin will be ready to play Monday night in Game 6 at San Jose.
Guerin, acquired by San Jose just before the trade deadline, has struggled in the playoffs, going scoreless with two assists in nine games.
