COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – The Pittsburgh Penguins, buoyed by their best game in their first-round Stanley Cup playoffs series, will be looking for a knockout punch.
And nothing for Columbus: The Blue Jackets will be desperate.
When the teams square off Monday night in Game 6, the Metropolitan Division champions will try to carry over their recent play. The host Jackets have no choice but to turn things around.
The Penguins won 3-1 in Game 5 on Saturday night in Pittsburgh, finally breaking through against goalie Sergei Bobrovsky with an onslaught of 51 shots. They dominated most of the last 50 minutes while snuffing the Blue Jackets’ offense.
Columbus, which has trailed 1-0 and 2-1 in the series, must adapt to survive.
