PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh Penguins coach Dan Bylsma says his team needs more from stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin heading into Game 5 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against surprising Columbus.
The Blue Jackets tied the series at two games apiece with a 4-3 overtime win Wednesday night. The Penguins blew a three-goal lead in the loss, including giving up the tying goal after a miscue by goalie Marc-Andre Fleury in the final seconds of regulation.
Bylsma said Thursday his team’s ”battle level” needs to rise if Pittsburgh is going to advance. The Blue Jackets have done an excellent job shutting down Crosby, who has yet to score a goal in the series after leading the NHL in points during the regular season.
Game 5 is Saturday night in Pittsburgh.
