DETROIT (AP) -Red Wings forward Daniel Cleary was shaken up midway through the second period Saturday against Calgary and had to be helped off the ice after falling into the boards.
Cleary was skating on his own when he pivoted and fell in front of Detroit's bench. He was face down while the Red Wings' medical staff evaluated him.
A stretcher was wheeled out onto the ice, but was turned away.
Cleary scored on a penalty shot - the first by a Red Wing at home in playoff history - to break a scoreless tie early in the second period of Game 5.
