NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Nashville captain Jason Arnott was diagnosed with a concussion and will miss his second straight playoff game Sunday.
The Predators enter the game trailing the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 in the series. General manager David Poile said doctors diagnosed Arnott on Saturday. His injury may have been caused by a teammate’s celebration of his Game 3-winning goal.
Arnott played in Game 4, flew to Detroit and didn’t show any symptoms until becoming ill after the morning skate on Friday.
Arnott tied for the team-high with 72 points in the regular season. His goal in Game 3 is his only point in this series.
Poile said Arnott might have a chance to play if the Predators win Sunday and forced Game 7 at Detroit on Tuesday.
