 RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -The Carolina Hurricanes hired Greg Stefan as their assistant coach and goaltending coach on Monday.
Stefan, who was a pro scout and coached the team's goalies for the past two seasons, signed a multiyear contract.
The 46-year-old Stefan, an NHL goalie for nine seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, will work with all goalies in the Carolina system.
