DALLAS (AP) -The Dallas Stars recalled goaltender Tobias Stephan from Iowa of the American Hockey League.
They made roster room for Stephan on Monday by assigning right wing Konstantin Pushkarev to Iowa, which is the Stars’ top player development club.
Stephan stopped 38 of 40 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss in his NHL debut Oct. 13 at Chicago. In 60 games with Iowa, the 24-year-old Swiss native went 27-25-2 with a 2.65 goals-against average, a .910 save percentage and six shutouts.
The 23-year-old Pushkarev came to Dallas in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings. In 45 games in Iowa, the 6-foot, 190-pound Kazakh scored 13 goals and 26 assists for 39 points with 43 penalty minutes.
