BOSTON (AP) – New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has returned to the starting lineup after a seven-week layoff because a puck hit his neck.
Lundqvist, who carried the Rangers to the Stanley Cup finals last season, started the game against the Boston Bruins on Saturday. He missed 25 games since getting injured on Jan. 31 and playing the following game on Feb. 2.
The Rangers, who entered the day with the Eastern Conference’s top record, collected 39 of 50 possible points while he was sidelined.
