NEW YORK (AP) -The Rangers said Monday that defenseman Michal Rozsival is expected to be sidelined for seven to 10 days because of an undisclosed lower body injury.
Rozsival appeared to injure his left leg during the second period of New York’s 2-1 home loss to Ottawa on Sunday when he was crunched against the boards by Senators forward Shean Donovan during the second period.
He was helped off the ice by a linesman and didn’t return to the game.
The Rangers, who face the Minnesota Wild at home on Tuesday, recalled Mike Sauer from Hartford of the AHL on Monday. The 21-year-old defenseman has six goals and 16 assists in 59 games with Hartford this season.
