BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) – Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons will miss at least two weeks and center Tyler Ennis is listed day to day, leaving Buffalo without its two top scorers.
Coach Ted Nolan provided the update Thursday morning, before Buffalo’s home game against the Vancouver Canucks.
Girgensons was hurt after being struck in the lower right leg by a shot in a 4-2 win at Columbus on Tuesday. As for Ennis, who sustained a lower body injury against Columbus, Nolan would only say that he would not play against Vancouver.
The two lead the team with 15 goals.
The Sabres recalled forwards Phil Varone and Zac Dalpe from AHL Rochester.
Veteran defenseman Mike Weber is set to return after missing two games with an upper body injury.
