PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh Penguins center Jordan Staal will return to the lineup on Saturday when the Penguins host the Winnipeg Jets.
Staal hasn't played since injuring his left knee against the New York Rangers on Jan. 6. Staal will team with Pascal Dupuis and Matt Cooke. Coach Dan Bylsma says he expects Staal to play around 15 minutes.
Staal was on pace to post career highs in goals and points. His 15 goals still rank him third on the team even though he's missed the last 15 games.
The Penguins hope Staal can breathe some life into an offense that isn't getting much production outside of Evgeni Malkin and James Neal.
Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby skated for about an hour before practice as he continues his comeback from concussion-like symptoms. There remains no timetable for his return.
