NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -New Jersey and U.S. Olympic forward Zach Parise was scratched from the Devils’ game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night.
The Devils did not say why Parise, the team’s second-leading goal scorer with 26, was not playing. He had not missed a game all season.
Devils defenseman Anssi Salmela was also scratched. He suffered a concussion in Monday night’s loss to the Flyers in Philadelphia.
