SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) -Panthers left wing David Booth has returned from a concussion that had left him sidelined since October.
Booth was included in Florida’s lineup for the first time since suffering the concussion during a game against Philadelphia on Oct. 24. He was carted off the ice on a stretcher after a hard hit by Flyers captain Mike Richards.
The 25-year-old forward missed 45 games because of the injury, which might have also cost him a spot on the U.S. Olympic team.
Booth had a career-high 31 goals and 29 assists during Florida’s 2008-09 campaign. He had two goals and an assist in the nine games he played before his injury this season.
The Panthers faced the New York Islanders on Sunday.
