UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) - New York Islanders coach Jack Capuano missed the season opener against the New Jersey Devils ``due to medical reasons.'' The team made the announcement about 25 minutes before the game at the Nassau Coliseum. The team did not release any additional information. Assistant coach Doug Weight ran the bench. Capuano had been at the Coliseum for much of the day. He met with the media during the Islanders' early skate in the morning. |
