DENVER (AP) -Colorado Avalanche forward Milan Hejduk will be out the next two to four weeks after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his knee.
Hejduk has already missed six games this season because of the injury, including Saturday’s 3-1 win over the New Jersey Devils.
During Sunday’s practice, T.J. Galiardi and Brandon Yip played the wings on a line centered by Matt Duchene, the spot usually held by Hejduk.
The 33-year-old Hejduk is tied for fourth on the club with 30 points in 40 games this season. He is also tied for second in goals, and leads the team with six power-play tallies.
The Avalanche play again Monday against the Edmonton Oilers.
