NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -All the lights are working again at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Power was restored early Saturday after a lighting problem on one side of the arena forced the suspension of the New Jersey Devils-Tampa Bay Lightning game.
Devils president and general manager Lou Lamoriello said a circuit breaker at the 3-year-old arena went down during the second period of Friday night’s game. A computerized lighting system for half of the lights then failed to reboot. The game was called after a nearly 2-hour delay with the Lightning ahead 3-0.
Because the teams don’t have more games scheduled against each other, NHL officials say a new date for completion will be determined.
The Cincinnati-Seton Hall basketball game is scheduled for Saturday at Prudential Center.
