Marty Turco and the Dallas Stars are one win from making - and perhaps more importantly, erasing - some franchise history.

A win in Game 7 on Monday night in Vancouver would make it the first time in 13 attempts a Stars team came back from a 3-1 playoff deficit. They've given themselves the chance by eliminating the problems of past playoff failures.

Wings Need One More

The home team has won each game in the Western Conference quarterfinal series between the Detroit Red Wings and Calgary Flames, who need that trend to continue if they want to force a deciding seventh game.

The Red Wings, meanwhile, will advance to the conference semifinals for the first time since 2004 with a win over the Flames in Game 6 on Sunday night at Pengrowth Saddledome.

Yes, they are confident their first-round playoff series against New Jersey will go the distance. No, it won't be easy to overcome a 3-2 deficit against Devils goalie Martin Brodeur. And, yes, it would be nice - though not imperative - to get an offensive boost from someone not named Vincent Lecavalier or Martin St. Louis.

Now that Marty Turco and the Dallas Stars have finally won another overtime game in the playoffs, they have to figure out how to win at home.

After ending a six-game losing streak in overtime games to avoid elimination against the Vancouver Canucks, the Stars must snap a more mind-boggling streak of the same length to extend the series again.
