Time to Close

Now that the Anaheim Ducks have that elusive road win, they are ready to do what they do best: close things out at home.
Twice the Ducks have reached the Stanley Cup finals and both times they were perfect on home ice and inept in enemy territory. That all changed in Canada's capital city on Monday and set up an NHL-style beach party. |

One Win Away

The Stanley Cup might've been born in Ottawa, but it's very close to relocating to Southern California.
The Anaheim Ducks are a win away from their first NHL championship.
While a Canadian team hasn't captured the Cup since 1993, when the Montreal Canadiens earned their 23rd, the U.S. sun belt is on the verge of its third straight. |

Pronger Out...Again

The Anaheim Ducks will have to play without Chris Pronger - again.
Pronger was suspended Sunday for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals for his forearm to the head of Dean McAmmond that knocked out the Senators forward and made his status for Monday night's pivotal game questionable. |

Senators Back In It

Upon further review, the Ottawa Senators are right back in the Stanley Cup finals.
Daniel Alfredsson broke out of a scoring slump with the help of the replay booth, and Anaheim defenseman Chris Pronger deflected the go-ahead goal into his own net during Ottawa's three-goal second period, giving the Senators a 5-3 victory over the Ducks on Saturday night. |

Senators on Familiar Ice

The flag of the Ottawa Senators flies throughout Canada's capital, flapping closely next to the red Maple Leaf in front of hotels, office buildings and in car windows.
It was also spotted outside a funeral parlor, which could be an omen if things don't change Saturday night on the home ice of the Eastern Conference champions. |
