Ducks looking to end woes

The Anaheim Ducks look to halt their longest road losing streak to start a season Tuesday night when they visit the St. Louis Blues, a team they usually defeat.

Goals aplenty in Toronto?

If the early part of this season is any indication, Tuesday night's matchup between the Atlanta Thrashers and Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre should be a high-scoring affair.

Toronto has allowed a league-worst 37 goals this season while Atlanta and Los Angeles are next on that list with 36 apiece.

Where's the offense?

Looking to bolster their offense, the New York Rangers committed more than $80 million this offseason to sign free-agent centers Chris Drury and Scott Gomez. The early season struggles of the pair, however, have contributed to the Rangers being in last place with the lowest goal total in the NHL.

With Drury and Gomez off to slow starts and fellow center Martin Straka lost to injury, the Rangers (2-4-1) face a tough task when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins (4-3-0) on Tuesday.

Shark bait

Nineteen-year veteran Jeremy Roenick postponed retirement to join the San Jose Sharks in September. So far, his decision is looking like a smart one.

Roenick looks to continue his hot start while the Sharks go for their first back-to-back wins on Monday against Jarome Iginla and the streaking Calgary Flames.

Rolling along

Thanks to some stingy defense, the Boston Bruins are rolling.

They'll be trying for their fifth straight win Monday when they visit the Montreal Canadiens.
