Kings & Hawks hot, Hurricanes struggling
Six games grace the NHL schedule on Friday night and while the Kings and Blackhawks are hot, the Hurricanes are currently struggling at the betting window.
Maple Leafs at Hurricanes, 7:00PM ET
The Hurricanes are currently -130 money line favorites to beat the Maple Leafs according to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, but Carolina is currently struggling at the betting window. The Hurricanes have lost four straight games, including a 4-1 decision on Monday at home versus the Ducks. In fact, three of their last four losses have come at home.
Kings at Red Wings, 7:30PM ET
The Kings will have Jonathan Quick in net tonight when they visit the Red Wings, who are +105 money line underdogs to pull off the upset tonight at home. Los Angeles is rolling a bit, winning three in a row and four of its last five. The Kings beat the Flyers 3-2 in a shootout on Tuesday night in Philadelphia, which was their first road game following a 3-2 homestand.
Blackhawks at Flames, 9:00PM ET
Like the Kings, the Hawks have won three straight games entering tonight’s contest with the Flames. They too have won four of their last five, including a 4-3 overtime win on Wednesday night in Edmonton. Chicago is 14-3 in its last 17 games versus Pacific opponents and 8-2 in its last 10 games playing on one day of rest. The Hawks are currently -150 money line favorites to win tonight’s game.
