The featured game of the day has the Detroit Red Wings hosting the San Jose Sharks at 7:30PM ET (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Sharks are the slight favorite on the road, as they have odds of -115 to win, while the Red Wings have a money line of -105 to prevail. The over/under for goals has been set at 5.5. Detroit is 6-3 on the season and 3-1 at home while San Jose is 7-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 on the road. San Jose has won six of its last eight against Detroit and the two have scored 5 goals or less in five straight meetings.

The other featured game of the day has the Pittsburgh Penguins hosting the Colorado Avalanche at 7:30PM ET (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers, Pittsburgh is the favorite to win this game, as the Penguins have odds of -165 to win, while the Avalanche have a money line of +145 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. Pittsburgh is 7-1 on the season and 5-0 at home while Colorado is 7-1 overall and 4-0 on the road. Pittsburgh has won four straight meetings with Colorado and the two have hit the over in their last two meetings.
