According to oddsmakers from online sports book, the Penguins are 4/5 favorites to win their division in 2013. The Capitals, meanwhile, have the next-best odds at 13/2 and the Islanders and Rangers are both 7/1 to win, respectively.

Continuing with the odds, the Flyers are 10/1 to win the Metropolitan Division in 2013, while the Blue Jackets are 14/1 and the Hurricanes are 15/1. At 18/1, the Devils have the worst odds of any team in the division to win the Metropolitan.

The Penguins are also 7/1 to win the 2014 Stanley Cup, which puts them right behind the Blackhawks, who are favored at 6/1. The Flyers, meanwhile, are 25/1 to win next year's Cup, as are the Capitals. The Rangers have slightly better odds at 20/1, while the Blue Jackets and Hurricanes are 40/1 long shots, respectively. The Devils are 50/1.

As one would expect, Pittsburgh is also favored to win the Eastern Conference this season at 11/4, while the Rangers and Washington are 12/1, respectively. Philadelphia is 15/1 to win the conference, while Columbus and New Jersey are 22/1, respectively. Carolina is 18/1 and the Islanders are 16/1.
