Updated Stanley Cup Odds
The NHL Preseason is set to begin in about a month. Here is a look at the latest odds to win the Stanley Cup in 2017.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Chicago Blackhawks are favored to win it all this season, as they have 8/1 odds. Other short odds to win are the Pittsburgh Penguins (17/2), the Washington Capitals (17/2) and Tampa Bay Lightning (10/1).
The Blackhawks lost in the opening round of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Chicago went 47-26-9 last season, placing third in the Central Division. Chicago has won the six Stanley Cup times, last doing so in 2015.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are the defending Stanley Cup champs. During the season, the Penguins went 48-26-8 overall last season, finishing second in the Metropolitan Division. Pittsburgh has won the Stanley Cup four times.

The Capitals reached the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Washington was 56-18-8 last season and had the top record in the NHL, but still came up shy of the title, which they have never won.
The Tampa Bay Lightning reached the conference finals before losing to the Penguins. Tampa was 46-31-5 last season, finishing second in the Atlantic Division. They re-signed top free agent Steven Stamkos in the offseason as well. The Lightning has won the Cup one time, which was in 2004.
