GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - George Gosbee and Anthony LeBlanc fulfilled every Canadian boy's dream last week by becoming NHL owners.

But even before they officially took over the Phoenix Coyotes, Gosbee, LeBlanc and the other members of IceArizona were hounded by questions about a five-year out clause.

For that to happen, though, the Coyotes would have to lose $50 million, which none of the Canadian businessmen want.

Gosbee and LeBlanc started working on making the Coyotes better on the ice by giving general manager Don Maloney more financial leeway during the free-agency period.

They also have initiated a more aggressive marketing plan in hopes of landing more season-ticket and suite sales, along with corporate sponsorships.

It's a combination Gosbee and LeBlanc believe will make hockey successful in the Valley of the Sun.
