Ducks agree to new deal with Ryan Kesler
ANAHEIM, CA (The Spread) – The Ducks and Ryan Kesler have agreed to a six-year, $41.25 million contract extension according to Eric Stephens.
Stephens noted on Twitter that Kesler’s deal is worth $6.875 million annually. The 30-year-old still has one season left on his previous deal so his new contract won’t actually begin until 2016-17.
Kesler said Thursday that he wants to play behind the new six-year pact.
“Right now, I’m fully confident that I can play out this contract and get another one after,” Kesler said via the Orange County Register.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Ducks are currently 10/1 to win the 2016 Stanley Cup, putting them behind only the Blackhawks (6/1) in terms of the odds. The Kings and Lightning are also 10/1, respectively.
